What we do for our clients
We help the technical people do a better job of interacting with their organization if they choose to stay technical and we help them prepare for a successful transition to
management if that is what they choose. We also help the non-technical people succeed inside a technical work environment. As a result, our clients become the leaders
and the people that others go to in order to get things done in their organizations.
If you are like many of our CLIENTS, you might be facing one of these kinds of issues:
You have been an individual contributor, either technical or non-technical , and you've done your job very well. You have shown some interest and aptitude for management and your
manager has decided to promote you to manager of a team. Everyone assumes you are ready for your first management role and now you find yourself managing a project and some
technical and non-technical people. Are you ready? You want to build a team and yet your most comfortable strategy is to do the work yourself. How do you make this transition as
successfully and smoothly as possible?
Technical and non-technical people seem to find it difficult to come to decisions quickly. Each has their own world view and it's as if they don't really understand each other.
How do you communicate more effectively and more efficiently so that decisions get made?
You have managed a few small projects, mostly with you and another person on the team. Now you have been given a bigger project and you have been assigned a team by the functional manager.
The program has been going well up until just recently. Now you find that the project is behind schedule. When things get tough you would rather just do the work yourself.
But that won't work in this situation. How do you learn to be comfortable delegating and managing when the program is in trouble?
Our clients come to us for many reason, but most come to us because they want their technical and non-technical people to be able to communicate more effectively and advance up the managerial ladder smoothly and successfully.
Some clients come to us because they have been newly promoted and they want to be able to influence and communicate effectively. Others come to us because they are
interested in being a stand-out individual contributor in their organization, someone we call a "star performer". Others are non-technical and want to know how to better
communicate and get along with technical people in a technical environment. Others seem to know how to mange well in certain situations or contexts and want to know how to
manage as well in other situations. All these issues are the target situations that can be effectively addressed by ST Cerri International training, coaching, and facilitation.
